Mark Campbell Productions was honored to be the event photographer for the Art Institute of Chicago’s Masterpiece19 Gala, which invited guests to ‘come as their favorite masterpiece.’ The gala wanted to highlight the Art Institute’s move to become a more interactive museum with a contemporary focus on live arts. The gala was designed to be more experiential, and the aim was to have people leave thinking they had seen or experienced something they never had before. Guests were able to enjoy an evening that was elegant but edgy—from the moment they entered, they were surrounded by surprising elements and innovative delights. Appetizers were served on candelabras and out of large Pez dispensers, and the décor immersed them in a reflection and color unlike other events. Not to mention—music was provided by The Temptations!
